The Worldly Goods of Tiger Woods

For, what does it profit a man to gain the whole world? One minute Tiger Woods has everything, and right now his estates value perhaps billions. Yet, he has nothing, if being taken at his own word that his family meant everything to him, is anything to go by. Assuming somewhat the same position as did Peter in the disciple’s response to Jesus’ betrayal question, the modern more worldly father of two gave his wife and kids away over the counter, sleeping with a string of bombshells, who obviously had held on surreptitiously to some strings attached to the gifted golfer. Out of the blue, Tiger has become the true reason for the split between the former Swedish stunner and himself, leaving him to be in a world of his own. With whom is he going to share his filthy acres? Better question, will he have such luxurious choice at the end of his chagrin? Already calculators are powering up to estimate that even with prenuptial signatures, the maltreated mademoiselle could walk away with over two hundred eighty-four million dollars plus the forty-four-million-dollar mansion under construction, initially designed to accommodate the once-believed model family. And that’s underscoring the fortitude of the soon-to-be ex-wife’s octogenarian legal rep, whose experience in his field could yield more that what meets the eyes at a single glance.

But let’s just say that the wife spares him against some common sense that he is still her kids’ daddy, leaving him with the will to bounce back and get on with his life. Golfing again can fling him far to let him get out of the bunker and back into the green, though his teeing ground would obviously be elongated by the more recent teeming endorsement withdrawals. Hence with less greens rolling in, will he think of starting a new family with one of the home-wreckers? The honeysuckles parasitically seem to go after big honchos, and so Tiger can’t say for sure where he stands in terms of constructing another family of greater or even similar lifestyle than what he had before. On the other side, his current kids are young enough to erase all memories of him as a dad and bestow that honor on some stepfather, if he is not careful. And if the wife moves back to Sweden with them, it would indeed make matters worse. Let’s see if he might stick with his native, or even his own color for a change.

Seriously speaking, it’s souls like Tiger Woods that give money a bad name. According to The Holy Bible, it’s easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich Tiger to enter the kingdom of heaven. Riches are implied to be an albatross around its owner’s neck in this verse. Have you ever wondered why money always seems to slip in the wrong hands? There he is, one of the wealthiest men walking the face of the earth, and he is still not happy! That is because his hands are covered with iron gloves, and as such, the money he grabs falls right through his stiff fingers. Just take a look at what normally befalls rich fools.

The chattels and goods of Tiger Woods are simply following on the traditions of his forerunners. One wealthy hip-hop singer bought a mansion with thirty-seven bathrooms for private use. That should give an indication of how many other rooms there were in this enclave! Another pop entertainer built a residence with four-hundred rooms, and he was single! Who could be happy living in a building containing umpteen quarters, doors of which remained closed for over a month or two or even longer? At the very least, Michael Jackson used Neverland Ranch to entertain kids, but still ended his days like Christopher Columbus – a pauper! What morale is meant to be conveyed from these observations? Some celebrities are taking the hint. Oprah has tried her hands at building a school, albeit controversially, in South Africa. Others are going along an adoption route fishing for unfortunate kids along the African shores, instead of showing how charity begins at home.

A luxury boat with marbled furniture inside! That’s an attempt to live larger than life itself! Do adversities like these have to knock people off their feet to make them and other copycats realize that everybody belongs to the human race? Or does ‘race’ in this sense means a jostle to see who can amass the most wealth to splash in less fortunate faces? One of Tiger’s mistresses complained that she didn’t get a penny from the player, what a shame! Mr. Woods wasn’t looking for love; he had a life at home. Hence, what could have been his reason for lying with the lady and leaving her empty-handed? It would have been understandable, if he were searching for a wife and wanted to ensure her sincerity, that she wasn’t just a gold-digger. However, since he was simply enjoying himself, how come there wasn’t a little conscience in him to give her something to show that she is another person with blood running through her veins? He probably wanted to prove the Sampson and Delilah story wrong, that being mean manifested that he was a real tiger at heart. But look where it got him!
